As a third-generation relocation specialist, National Van Lines CEO and Chairman Maureen Beal knows a thing or two about moving. Beal’s grandfather founded National Van Lines in 1901 as a one-man operation that delivered ice and coal in Chicago using a single wagon and pony. From there, Beal’s father joined the company and helped to grow its success. With a desire to help others reduce the stress of moving, Maureen Beal then joined the family business with one goal in mind – to provide the best in customer service and moving services.Read a personal message from CEO, Maureen Beal.
Working Your Way Up
National Van Lines CEO Maureen Beal doesn’t just encourage hard work – she exemplifies it. Although the granddaughter of company founder F.J. McKee, Beal chose to work her way up in the ranks instead of relying on family favors. Beal began her career with National Van Lines as a switchboard operator, and through her hard work and dedication to the company values of honesty and integrity, Beal eventually reached the level of CEO. Her story is one that encourages all of the professionals at National Van Lines to always give it their all in everything that they do. Whether providing residential moving, commercial moving, warehouse and distribution, or moving and storage services, the specialists at National Van Lines are committed to providing superior service.
A Woman’s World
As one of the few female CEOs in the moving and storage industry, Maureen Beal is proud to set an example for working women across the country. Beal is committed to her family just as much as she is committed to the success of National Van Lines and its customers. As CEO, Maureen Beal is responsible for overseeing the company’s operations, but she always makes time to connect with her work family, comprised of agents, drivers, movers, distribution technicians, and more, as well as her own family at home. According to Beal, a company should never become so large that you lose sight of what’s really important – your loved ones.
