Broadview, Illinois, February 22, 2024 – National Van Lines proudly announces the election of Michael Hartung to the Illinois Movers And Warehouseman’s Association (IMAWA) board as a member. Hartung, who has been an integral part of the National Van Lines team for 12 years, brings a wealth of industry knowledge and experience to his new role.
Hartung began his career at National Van Lines 12 years ago, starting part-time before transitioning to a full-time role four years later. Currently serving as the MovePro Manager, Hartung plays a crucial role in supporting the sales team, implementing follow-up programs, and booking interstate business. His dedication and leadership have been evident throughout his tenure at National Van Lines.
In addition to his role at National Van Lines, Hartung is a proud graduate of the Illinois Trucking Association (ITA) leadership program. His commitment to professional development and industry excellence has prepared him well for his new position on the IMAWA board.
Hartung expressed his enthusiasm for his new role, stating, “I have enjoyed learning the industry throughout my time at National Van Lines. Those experiences at a young age, have allowed me to grow my career and to participate in organizations like IMAWA. I’m still learning, but I now have the confidence to join organizations and be a vocal member of a board, where without my learning experiences, I probably would have passed on the opportunity.”
The Illinois Movers And Warehouseman’s Association, founded over a century ago, is the statewide not-for-profit trade association for moving and storage companies licensed to do business in Illinois. With a membership that includes 95% of all licensed movers in the state, IMAWA plays a crucial role in advancing the interests of the industry and fostering professional development opportunities for its members.
In his new role on the IMAWA board, Hartung looks forward to helping the association grow and expand its reach within the industry. He is committed to encouraging more moving professionals to participate in IMAWA events and build connections with other industry leaders across Illinois.
