BROADVIEW, Ill. – September 30, 2026 | The International Association of Movers (IAM) will induct Tim Helenthal, Chairman & CEO of National Holding Company (NHC), into the association’s Hall of Honor on Oct. 24, 2026. IAM will present the honor during the Closing Celebration of its 64th Annual Meeting & Expo at the Manchester Grand Hyatt in San Diego.
NHC is the parent company of National Van Lines Inc., National Van Lines International, National Forwarding Co., Mighty Moving Inc., Moving.com and MoveAI.
IAM created the Hall of Honor in 2008 to recognize industry leaders whose careers reflect exceptional service to their companies, the association and the moving industry. Its members and past inductees select each year’s class through a rigorous review process.
“Tim has spent his career making the moving industry stronger for the agents, drivers, and customers who depend on it,” said Michael Wilson, President of National Forwarding Company. “This honor reflects the respect he has earned from his peers, and everyone at National is proud to celebrate it with him.”
Helenthal joined National Forwarding Company in 1994 and spent 18 years in leadership there, including as Vice President of Agency Services. He became President & COO of National Van Lines in 2013 and took the helm as Chairman & CEO of NHC in January 2020. In 2026, he led NHC’s acquisition of Moving.com, one of the nation’s leading consumer moving marketplaces, pairing a proven digital platform with nearly a century of relocation expertise.
His professional service extends beyond NHC. He joined the IAM board as a member-at-large in 2011, became Vice Chairman in 2014, and led the association as Chairman for three terms beginning in 2017. Today, he sits on the American Trucking Associations’
Moving & Storage Conference Executive Committee and chairs its Government Traffic Committee.
“I’ve spent my career alongside people who care deeply about getting every move right,” Helenthal said. “This recognition belongs to them as much as it belongs to me.”
Helenthal’s leadership also earned the Daily Herald Business Ledger C-Suite of the Year Award. He supports Move For Hunger and Aspire and champions employee volunteerism and giving across the organization. He holds a B.A. and M.A. in economics from Eastern Illinois University.
