Broadview, IL July 29, 2016 – National Van Lines, Inc. is thrilled to reveal that President and COO, Tim Helenthal has set a new record fundraising for non-profit Move for Hunger.

On July 17, Tim, together with his daughter, Lauren, ran in the Rock ‘n’ Roll Chicago 1⁄2 Marathon with Team Move For Hunger. Working diligently to increase awareness of hunger throughout Chicagoland and the United States, Tim was able to raise $6,721. The funds will be used to alleviate hunger and develop food waste awareness programs.

By teaming up with Move for Hunger, National Van Lines, Inc encourages their relocation agents, across the country, to pick up the unwanted, non-perishable food items from those who are moving and deliver it to their local food banks. Currently, 17 National Van Lines agents are signed on and actively collect food. Since the partnership began in November of 2015, a total of 81,180 pounds of food has been collected by National Van Lines agents, resulting in over 67,650 meals.
