Of all the moving companies I inquired about moving us 1400 + miles, National Van Lines was the only company that sent someone to the house to see in person what we wanted moved. Trad was very helpful explaining how a big move works. I was always updated on the day and time the movers would pick up our things in Florida and also when they would arrive at our home in Iowa. The driver, Rob, and his two helpers were very friendly and did a great job.
I was able to keep in touch w Joseph Green of the OnTime Moving and Storage. I received all my items, except one chair. They have it and I would like to ask them if they could ship it to me. On time moving did a great job with my move. From the time I called I was greeted by Leda the dispatcher. She helped me with each and every step along the way. Willie and his partner were my movers and both were professional and assisted me with my move from Texas to Florida. Price was great and fair and the move was very quick. I highly recommend this company both guys did an amazing job with packing and moving my items. Communication was awesome!
This was a big move for seniors. We had to move and leave everything behind in four storage units. They took photos of all empty units when they left. We could not be there. Everything was well done and on time. Great people to work with. Items were handled with care and furniture was well wrapped. No damage at all. They drove through several states = 900 miles. Highly recommended.
Fabulous experience with the move. The best part was the young lady who coordinated the move. I spoke with Leda on the phone numerous times and she was extremely helpful. The move was done on time and everything went smoothly and arrived in good shape. I had the unique experience of having this company move me from my home in Pinehurst to a storage facility in Pinehurst and then, a year later, move me from the storage unit to our new home in Florida. As such, I had two different moving crews and both of them were fantastic. They were efficient and professional. I was baffled by the speed and coordination of the moving crew and eternally grateful for having Leda on the other end of the phone every time I panicked about something - which was often as I tend to suffer from OCD! Having never dealt with a moving company before, and having hear countless horror stories over the years from friends about their experiences with professional movers, I was initially reluctant to seriously consider engaging with professional movers. Finally facing reality I went on line to find a national firm that would undertake an out of state move from Florida to North Carolina. To my surprise I received a response from On Time Movers and Storage, located in St. Augustine, Florida -- some 1 20 miles from my location. I was contacted by phone by the agent for On Time who explained they were agents for National Van Lines and were, indeed a national company. After receiving substantial advice from this contact about what NOT to do to avoid potential scams and difficulties with movers On Time told me their agent would arrive at my home the next day to assess my needs and estimate the cost for my move. This was the beginning of the good stuff. The walk through and estimate were without incident and within 24 hours I received a bonded proposal for the move -- scheduled for some six weeks away. During this six week period I received tentative dates for furniture pickup and final delivery to my new home, communications to determine if I had questions, issues or reservations about the move, and updates on our proposed moving schedule. Finally furniture pickup day arrived and a team of movers arrived. Furniture was carefully wrapped in blankets and shrink wrap for protection and l oaded on the truck. Workers were professional, friendly, polite and VERY competent and I began to feel my anxieties slipping away. In what seemed like no time the job was completed and the moving van departed. I was given a window of delivery about for days away -- to give me time to make the drive to NC to receive delivery. Within three days I received notice that the furniture would arrive the next day and the rest is history. Delivery day came and the movers repeated their earlier performanc e, unloading, re-assembling and placing furniture where I directed. I could not have had an easier and more painless experience. I was COMPLETELY satisfied with this whole experience and have since recommended On Tim and National to several friends planning out of state moves of their own.
