Dennis Snyder is an exceptionally professional and personable man. The care he took with preparing my furniture for the trip to Decatur, Illinois was the best experience I have ever experienced, and being a military family for 20 years, believe me we moved alot! He also prepared the area in my home that he would be working in to ensure no damage would be done in that area either. He told me when he expected to be at my granddaughter's residence in Decatur and he actually got there a da y early. My granddaughter felt the same way I did, I truly nice man and a very conscious and respectful with the delivery into her home. I went to visit her in her new home two weeks later and I could see for myself all my wood furniture prepared and moved from me to her was in perfect shape. Dennis took the large table apart and put the screws back into the furniture so it wouldn't get lost and the same with the 2 piece hutch. When unloaded in Decatur, he reassembled the table and hutch. Ben and the crew were great, unfortunately several items were broken during storage and transit from CA to TX. Luckily I have protection in case this would occur. Overall I would highly recommend National Van lines. Thank you Ben and Crew!

If I could give 0 stars, I would. The front half of my delivery was outstanding, and the two gentlemen that packed up my place and inventoried my items were thorough and respectful. Then my items were delivered four days outside of the delivery window. In addition, I was told that the delivery driver would come on July 3 and he would call the day before. He did call on July 2, but it was to say he couldn't come on the 3rd. He was working to find help, and said he would come on July 4 or the foll owing Monday, and that he would call beforehand. He did not. He showed up at my new location in the morning saying he was outside. Luckily I was home, but he insisted he called when he did not. I wonder if he got me confused with another client? The brought everything in, and all was in relatively good shape. However, the helpers didn't put all boxes in the correct rooms, and many of them were on their side or upside down. There was somewhat of a lack of respect for my belongings. Additionally, the adjustable base for my bed was not connected to the power source. I live by myself and I cannot turn the base over by itself to connect it, and unfortunately, I didn't realize it wasn't done until they left. None of that is a horribly big issue. What is, however, is the fact that my king-sized Purple mattress was not on the truck. I was told that it got left behind in the warehouse and that it would be brought to me asap. I understand mistakes happen, but it is now a month later, and it s till has not been delivered. I was told multiple times that it was in the warehouse, but when asked about it's delivery, I got no response (this was from the driver's boss). I filed a missing claim as well as sent an email which was responded to by Patty McCarthy. I was told that the mattress was given a new B/L #355475, and that it is estimated to arrive between 7/14-7/31. It is now 8/3 and I still don't have it. I also just tried to delay claim on the mattress, and it says that the new B/L # d oesn't match my email, so I can't even make a claim on it. I don't know what is going on, but if you do indeed still have the mattress, clearly this is not a priority for this company. It is a 1 year old $4000 mattress for which I still have the receipt. If this isn't resolved within the week, I will be filing legal action. As it wouldn't let me file a delay claim, I will also be calling your claims department tomorrow during business hours to let them know about the delay as well as the fact th at I can't even file a claim. I don't even know if the new B/L number is legitimate. You have had my property for close to six weeks now and no one can give me a straight answer or deliver my property. This is incredibly disappointing as I said the front half was really good. However, at this point, not only can I not recommend your company, I will be actively advising people to stay away from National Van Lines.

My experience with National Van Lines is the work done at intake in Brooklyn, N. Y. and delivery in Pleasanton, CA was very very good. Malcolm and both teams in both cities were quite professional and trustworthy. I do have one suggestion for your company: Wherever an item has an electric wire attached to it, your personnel should be equipped with some kind of tape or attachment apparatus to insure that wire arrives with that wire attached. It was a real chore for me as the accepting per son to ferret out the correct wiring for each item especially these days as everything operates through electricity. It would have gone much more smoothly for me if the appropriate wiring was somehow attached to the item it was destined to operate with. Just a thought!! But thanks for all your personnel hard work!!!

Dick Scaffa did an outstanding job of customer service. Worked around our schedule and contacted us several times to ensure things were on track and that we were satisfied with the results. The driver (Richard) was top notch. He also did a great job of communicating and arrived at both the starting point and end point exactly when he communicated that he would. He was extremely polite, professional, and helpful during the entire process as he dealt with the on-site supervisor (my wife)!

Had a big move from California to Tennessee. My sales representative Alex Duarte was amazingly helpful. Very effective and efficient. His estimate for weight was spot on. My owner/driver for NVL was Robert Smith. Without exception he and his crew were the most efficient and thorough packers and loaders I have ever had. Ive moved cross country a number of times and he was the best of all. I appreciated his team caring for my stuff as if it were their own. Highly recommend.

Overall, everything was great. Our driver communicated well during the transport and was helpful managing the unloading here in Portland. My only significant complaint was in regard to the packing of our art work. I pointed out our most valuable painting - a large canvas, and it was packed with very minimal protection. It was in one layer of cardboard (mirror box). Other painting and artwork had the think paper wrapped around them and several layers of the cardboard mirror boxes wrapped around them to protect them. It is a miracle it arrived safely. Also - to identify EVERY piece of artwork they wrote "Picture." So, we had to unwrap everything to find any item. They could have given us a clue - Blue flowers, map, polar bears, etc. But overall it was great. Thanks, Jane & Richard

Our experience was great from start to finish. Tiffany was my first contact with your company. She was so personable and had great compassion for our situation. She stayed in great communication and was very knowledgeable. Angel the driver was super friendly and also stayed in touch from the time he picked up until he delivered. The other gentleman who came to help the driver unload was awesome too. They were gentle and respectful with all our precious belongings. Both men were very friendly and professional. Great team.

Everything went pretty smooth. I was well packed, and Randy made sure my stuff got in the truck. Him and I worked out a delivery date and he arrived exactly when promised. Overall, Im pretty happy with the whole moving experience. I was quite nervous about it, but everything worked out well.
