Customer Testimonials
Both crews hired to move my possessions were excellent. They had to double load at the start and double unload at the destination, but they were professional about it and didnt complain. They were careful with my belongings and very little was damaged or broken. Ms. Arnett was very good about keeping me in the loop. My only complaint was that I never laid eyes on the driver. Had he actually looked at my destination driveway, they probably wouldnt have had to double unload.
Fantastic experience.
Everyone was professional starting with Eric and his original visit to our home and the quoting process.
The 3 packers did a great job and then Bobby the truck driver and his helper were outstanding.
Eric kept in touch all the way through the moving process.
*****. 5 stars for sure.
Highly recommend National Van Lines.
Everything about the move was very good, except the delivery date. Unfortunately, the driver had to be admitted to the hospital during the delivery, and the delivery was delayed two days. While I understand there was no fault to be assigned to the driver, the delay cost me an additional $400 of hotel expenses.
Overall the people were great/nice to work with. However, we had broken furniture, scratched floors and missing boxes when they delivered. The fragile items I had packed prior to pickup arrived undamaged. I think they could have taken more time and care in moving furniture and delivering to ensure nothing was broken.
Mark was great. He had a good attitude and extremely impressive work ethic. The reason I give 4 not 5 stars is that on the pick up /packing of the truck his worker did not show up so he moved it all himself. He did not complain and got the job done. But due to the nature of moving large items solely by yourself it took longer and less attention was paid (as is the case if you are by yourself - not Mark's fault). Still, everything arrived and on time. In the future I would be more encouraged to u se National if they properly staffed their teams because ultimately this situation was least fair to Mark himself.
Everything showed up in good condition, which is the most important thing. The cost came in right about where the estimate said it would be. The reason I can't give 5 stars is the timing. We were given a 3-day window for delivery, but after the truck was loaded we found out the driver wasn't even leaving town until the day before the window started (and it was 1,000 miles away) so there was no way to make the first day of the window. It arrived 5 days after the end of the window. We were re imbursed for hotels and 50% of food costs which is good. However, if we had been even one day late on being able to receive the delivery we would have been charged over $5,000 plus additional charges per day. Had they moved the window from the start, we could have travelled differently; as it was we had to be here just in case they arrived in the window to avoid that huge cost. Basically, we assumed all the risk in the scheduling - $5,000 to us if we are off one day, ~$150 for them if they ar e. The driver knew when he would probably get there, but the contract didn't reflect that. My recommendation would be for them to communicate with drivers better to provide more realistic expected delivery dates.
My move with National Van Lines was as smooth as I could ask for. We moved several states away and with National Van Lines it went exactly as planned. They picked up our household goods on time, delivered them on time and didnt raise the price from the estimate given. All of the workers were friendly and polite. Would recommend to a friend.
